Terms of service
Use Dev30 to understand work, not to invent judgments about people.
These Terms govern use of the hosted Dev30 service. By using Dev30, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from this page.
1. The service
Dev30 turns recent GitHub activity into evidence-backed work briefings, saved snapshots, comparisons, and optional stakeholder updates. GitHub evidence is collected first; AI may be used to explain selected evidence in plain language.
2. Accounts and GitHub authorization
Fresh analysis on the hosted service requires a connected GitHub identity. You are responsible for using a GitHub account you are authorized to control and for choosing which repositories, if any, the GitHub App may access.
Private repository analysis is only available for repositories you explicitly authorize and is a Dev30 Pro feature. You must not use Dev30 to access repositories or information you are not authorized to view.
3. Free and paid plans
Dev30 currently offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. The current product limits are described on the Pricing page. Fresh-analysis limits are usage limits, not prepaid API credits or cash-equivalent balances.
Dev30 may change plan features or limits for future subscription periods. If a material change affects an active paid subscription, Dev30 will aim to provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect.
4. Paid subscriptions and Paddle
When production billing is activated, paid subscriptions are sold and processed through Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction. RevenueCat is used by Dev30 to synchronize subscription entitlement state. Paddle’s checkout terms, buyer terms, taxes, payment methods, subscription notices, cancellation tooling, and refund process may also apply to your transaction.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period until cancelled. You may cancel through the available subscription management flow. Cancellation generally stops future renewal and does not by itself erase Dev30 workspace data.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Dev30 to:
- access GitHub data without authorization;
- evade quotas, authentication, paywalls, or technical limits;
- abuse, overload, scrape, or probe Dev30 in a way that harms the service or other users;
- use Dev30 output as a definitive hiring score, talent ranking, or permanent judgment about a person;
- submit malicious content or attempt to extract secrets, credentials, or private data belonging to others;
- use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party terms.
6. AI output and evidence
Dev30 is designed to keep important claims tied to collected GitHub evidence. AI-generated explanations can still be incomplete, stale, or wrong. You should verify important conclusions using the linked evidence before relying on or sharing them.
Dev30 does not promise that an analysis captures every repository, commit, pull request, or aspect of a developer’s work. A report describes observed GitHub activity within the selected window and access scope.
7. Privacy and private repositories
Use of Dev30 is also subject to the Privacy Policy. Private analysis requires explicit user action. If you enable private analysis, selected private work metadata may be persisted in your workspace and processed by the configured AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Dev30, its product design, hosted service, and original implementation remain the property of the operator or applicable licensors. GitHub content, repository content, names, trademarks, and third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners and licenses.
You retain rights you already hold in your own repositories and content. Using Dev30 does not transfer ownership of your code to Dev30.
9. Availability and changes
Dev30 may modify, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue parts of the service to improve reliability, security, compliance, or product quality. The service may depend on GitHub, Netlify, Supabase, DeepSeek, RevenueCat, Paddle, Resend, and other providers that can experience outages or policy changes.
10. Suspension and termination
Dev30 may suspend access for abuse, fraud, security risk, non-payment, or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using Dev30 at any time. Disconnecting GitHub ends the current session but does not automatically delete saved snapshots or reports.
11. Refunds
Refunds and subscription cancellations are handled according to the Dev30 Refund Policy, Paddle’s applicable buyer/refund terms, and any mandatory rights available under local law.
12. Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by law, Dev30 is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that every report, integration, or third-party service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Dev30 is not professional legal, financial, employment, or hiring advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as Dev30 changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version is published. Material changes affecting paid users should be communicated through reasonable product or billing channels where appropriate.
14. Contact
Dev30 is built and operated by hstptcn5. A dedicated commercial support email will be published before broad paid launch. Until then, initiate contact through the GitHub profile and do not post private repository content or secrets publicly.
